The June Blackout Wave: 38 TV Repair Bookings at ₹229 CPA
Between June 1st and June 30th, 2026, our Google Ads campaign for a Bangalore TV repair client generated 38 verified service bookings on just ₹8,710 of spend — a cost per acquisition roughly half the appliance-repair industry benchmark for tier-1 metros.
The "Dead Screen" Trigger: Why TV Repair Isn't Seasonal, It's Situational
Unlike AC or washing machine repair, TV breakdowns don't follow the weather — they follow usage spikes. June 2026 delivered two of them back-to-back: the ICC World Test Championship final week and the school summer holiday tail-end. Both push older LED panels into 8–12 hour continuous-use windows, and that's when backlight strips and T-CON boards start failing.
Our data shows the demand curve stayed near-zero until mid-June, then erupted into three sharp peaks touching ~300 impressions/day with matching cost spikes. That's not a slow ramp — that's Bangalore households discovering, in the same week, that their 5-year-old Sony/Samsung/LG panel won't turn on.
Why ₹229 CPA Beats the Category Average
The typical Bangalore appliance-repair advertiser pays ₹450–₹600 per booking in June because they bid broadly on "TV repair near me." We segmented the client's campaign around three high-intent brand+symptom combinations — "Sony Bravia no display," "Samsung LED half screen black," "LG panel repair" — and let broader terms starve.
- Brand + symptom queries: ₹180–₹220 CPA, ~70% booking rate
- Generic "TV repair" queries: ₹380+ CPA, ~30% booking rate
The Three Peaks: Reading the Chart
The June time-series shows a clear pattern — impressions and cost/conv move together in three distinct waves around June 15–18, June 22–24, and June 27–29. Each peak is a "collective failure event": weekend movie marathons, followed by mid-week service calls once households confirm the TV won't recover on its own.
Between peaks, our CPA dropped to ~₹150 as competitors paused campaigns thinking demand had died. We stayed live at low bids and picked up cheap conversions in the gaps — a strategy only possible when you're watching daily data, not month-end reports.
The "Diagnosis Charge" Landing Page Trick
Most TV repair advertisers hide their diagnosis fee. We did the opposite — the landing page led with "₹299 flat diagnosis, adjusted against repair". Counterintuitively, this increased conversion rate: it filtered out "just curious" callers and pre-qualified people ready to spend. Result: fewer wasted technician visits and a much higher realized revenue per booking.
The Takeaway
38 bookings from ₹8,710 isn't luck — it's tight query segmentation, brand+symptom bidding, and a landing page that pre-qualifies intent. Any TV repair business in Bangalore can run Google Ads. Very few can run them at ₹229 CPA in a month where competitors are paying triple.
